ATTEND TCHOTCHKE PALOOZA
Tchotchke Palooza is the one time each year that we fill the garden with Ben Hartman’s famous figurines, including boxer Joe Louis, actress Mae West, and characters like Felix the Cat, Pinocchio, and the Lone Ranger! This event is held annually on the last Saturday in July.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER
We rely on dedicated people like you to keep our visionary art environment looking amazing! We organize three big volunteers events each year – the Spring Cleanup in early May, the Spring Planting in mid May, and the Fall Cleanup in early October – as well as smaller gardening days throughout the summer.
TAKE A KIDS TOUR
Our free self-directed Kids Tour engages children’s creative spirit and sense of wonder in an exploration of our visionary art environment. On the tour, children search for art objects based on shape, hunt for hidden symbols, and then sketch and write about what they find.
MAKE A DONATION
The Friends of the Hartman Rock Garden is a volunteer-led non-profit organization. Please support our work by making a safe and secure donation through DonorBox. All donations are tax-deductible in accordance with IRS regulations. Donations support our ongoing conservation work and educational programs.

The longterm protection of the physical asset is the organization’s raison d’être (a fancy way of saying “the reason to exist”).
